Dr. Zeliha Şahin Çağlı, distinguished for her work in the fields of sustainability, energy efficiency, and social innovation, conducts data collection, AI analysis, and optimization research on the use of solar, wind, and bioenergy resources in buildings, as well as hydrogen energy and the integration of renewable energy sources in the production processes of industrial facilities. She also served as the Rector's Advisor and Sustainability Coordinator at OSTİM Technical University for two years. With 25 years of professional architectural experience, she has taught undergraduate courses in Sustainable Design, Physical Environmental Control, Interior Architecture Project Studio, and Entrepreneurship at the university's Faculty of Architecture and Design. She has also taught, and continues to teach, building and construction project courses in the English-language Architecture and Interior Architecture departments at other universities. She also teaches Energy-Efficient Building Design for graduate students in the Department of Architecture at the Institute of Science and Technology, and "Design Focused Entrepreneurship" at the Faculty of Business Administration in English.
In addition to his academic work, he participated as a researcher in an international competition supported by the European Union, and his innovative street furniture design, developed with the Madrid team, was selected as a finalist. He currently contributes to the development of green metric assessment, entrepreneurship, and digital rating tools for industrial buildings as part of the Erasmus+ Sustainability Metrics Project, a consortium of six European universities. He serves as a referee and jury member in national competitions focused on technology, design, and industry.
