Prof. Dr. Şule Taşlı Pektaş graduated with honors from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University in 1997. She received her master's and doctoral degrees from Bilkent University, ranking first in her class. She also held a fellowship at the Cambridge Engineering Design Centre, affiliated with the University of Cambridge in England, where she conducted research on modeling design processes. She served as a faculty member at Bilkent University for twenty years, first in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and then in the Department of Architecture. During her tenure at Bilkent University, she actively contributed to the establishment of undergraduate and graduate architecture programs.

Prof. Pektaş's academic interests include information technologies in architecture, human-computer interaction, and design education. He has published numerous international academic articles and book chapters in these areas. He also serves as a consultant and referee in various national and international scientific organizations such as REPRISE (Register of Expert Peer-Reviewers for Italian Scientific Evaluation), FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (The National Research Funding Agency of Portugal), TÜBİTAK, eCAADe (Association of Education and Research in Computer Aided Architectural Design in Europe), CAAD Futures Foundation, MSTAS (Board for Digital Design in Architecture). Prof. Pektaş is an editorial board member of the International Journal of Technology and Design Education (ISI Science Citation Index) and Open House International (ISI Social Sciences Citation Index), and an advisory board member of the Journal of Computational Design (JCoDe).
