After completing his undergraduate education in 1986 at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), he worked as a project architect in various private sector offices and as a site manager on construction sites for over twenty years. He also completed his master's thesis, "Investigation of Interdisciplinary Relations and Interdisciplinary Compatible Design Possibilities in the Computer-Aided Design Process," and his doctoral thesis, "Functional Flexibility in Kinetic Building Design and Proposal for the Use of Integrated Systems," at Gazi University. In addition to his professional career in the private sector, he taught various courses as a part-time lecturer at Gazi University for 10 years. He began his tenure as the founding head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Ostim Technical University in 2020 and continues his tenure as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design. İnan has published articles in various national and international scientific journals, served as a reviewer, served as a conference paper, published book chapters, edited books, and held design registrations. The National Library hosts numerous books he has dubbed for the visually impaired. His areas of interest are architectural design, computer-aided design, kinetic design and universal design.
