In 2011, İhsan Doğramacı graduated with honors from the Bachelor's Program in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Bilkent University. He began his Master's Program at the same university as a scholarship student in 2014 and completed it with a thesis on the concept of originality in the conservation of industrial heritage, specifically regarding the Samsun Tobacco Factory Buildings. He received his PhD degree in 2020 from the Architecture Doctorate Program, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Atılım University, with his thesis titled “Spatial Formation in Passages as Urban Space Elements: Ankara-Yenişehir Passages.” This thesis discussed the construction forms and spatial typologies of passages in urban space and their reasons, thereby shedding light on a spatial typology. Between 2011 and 2014, he worked as an assistant in interior design studio courses at the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Bilkent University. He has been working as a faculty member at Ostim Technical University since 2020. His academic interests include industrial heritage, repurposing, interior design, urban and spatial formation, and passages.
